How do I choose between the Paper Bubble Mailer and the Paper Padded Mailer?
If your product requires a lot of protection, the heavier-duty Paper Padded Mailer is the best cushioned paper mailer on the market. However, if you only need light cushioning or structure to your mailer, the Paper Bubble Mailer may be a better fit. It is also around 15% lower cost than the Paper Padded Mailer.

What is the Paper Bubble Mailer padding made from?
These Paper Bubble Mailers contain an inner paper layer constructed of kraft paper that is embossed to mimic BUBBLE WRAP® brand cushioning. This layer provides lightweight cushioning for the product inside. Unlike many protective mailers on the market that contain plastic, the Paper Bubble Mailer is plastic-free and, therefore, curbside recyclable in many areas.
Is this Paper Bubble Mailer plastic-free?
Yes - This paper is plastic-free which deems it curbside recyclable.
EcoEnclose defines an option as “plastic-free” if the materials used to construct the packaging itself do not contain any synthetic polymers (regardless of the raw materials used to derive those synthetic polymers). Note that with this definition, packaging can be plastic-free and still contain synthetics and polymers in small components - acrylic or hot melt adhesives (the glue that holds products together), silicone seal strips (that close and seal mailers), and tear strips.

How does the Paper Bubble Mailer and Paper Padded Mailer compare to other cushioned mailers on the market?
There are quite a few virgin paper cushioned mailers on the market with different padded interiors such as honeycomb cushioning, fluted cushioning, and the common kraft exterior with plastic bubble interior cushioning.
EcoEnclose's focus is on building for circularity. This means that we make packaging from recycled content and that same packaging gets recycled again. When virgin paper is utilized, we prioritize FSC certification (and at a very minimum, ensuring no risk to ancient or endangered forests). Many mailers do not pass that test.
We have chosen the Paper Padded Mailer because it is made of 100% recycled content (with 20% PCW). The Paper Bubble Mailer is not as strong and is made of 50% recycled, 50% virgin paper. Both options are 100% paper, and are designed to be curbside recyclable.
